I ordered three of the CBC retro mugs.
The courier ICS changed the delivery date twice.
Upon receiving the mugs, which were poorly packed to protect from damage (crumpled up paper on top and bottom but nothing to protect the sides), I noticed a chip out of the top rim that had some touch up paint on it. It is clear that the chip happened after the original finish of the mug and that a very light coat of paint was added to it. A second mug had a large paint drip in the handle which doesn't affect anything but show poor workmanship, shows it was rushed.
In contacting Main and Local they have said that both defects of to be expected due to the mugs being hand painted and offered a 20% discount on my next order. I am not sure how one is suppose to just accept that a chip of out of the rim, which is rough and sharp, is acceptable given it is a safety concern. The paint drip is different and is just of a cosmetic concern only.
While writing this I have now been given a 30% refund and if I want to send the damaged mug back it is at my cost for the return shipping.
This company represents itself as offering one thing, on their website, but does not follow through with it.
I started out this comment giving them more stars but as I converse with them by email I am more disappointed with their response.
I will not place an order with this company again.

I'm a huge fan of the CBC, so I absolutely love this mug. Very well made with great colourful details, and survives the dishwasher with no problem! Also shipped fast. Thanks so much!
