We started Dam Good Initiatives in 2021 because we wanted to give back to our awesome community, support those in need, and provide awareness to Canadian organizations that frankly, don't suck!
We adopted a Bieber...sorry, we mean Beaver from World Wildlife Fund Canada (WWF)and we couldn’t be happier. He’s a loving, sweet, iconic Canadian animal and we are thrilled to take part in such an amazing organization. By adopting him, we are contributing to the conservation of wildlife for future generations. Does it get any better than that?
The downfall: he doesn’t sing quite as well as the legendary J-Biebs. BUT, he is just as handsome and charming :)
Socks are the most requested item for the homeless... and we have plenty of them! We donated over 360 pairs across the city over the course of winter 2020/2021. We are proud to help this cause this year and for many years to come.
There is no Planet B.
"There are no passengers on Spaceship Earth. We are all crew."
- Marshall McLuhan
This is our commitment to our planet. As of March 2021, all orders placed on our website are carbon-neutral. We work with PACHAMA to minimize our carbon footprint.
Mental health is mental health.
In any given year, 1 in 5 Canadians will experience a mental health problem. The pandemic didn’t make that any easier - surviving it has been, and continues to be, hard on everyone’s daily living & self-care.
The best way to help and end the stigma?
TALK ABOUT IT.
Maybe over a Poutine or a Two-Four. No matter how or where, it’s important to start there. Let’s talk about mental health and #stopthestigma.
In Summer 2021, thanks to the sanitary efforts of our community the children of Montreal were finally able to return to summer camp! Main and Local produced thousands of masks, including children’s masks, and we were lucky enough to be able to donate a large portion of them to the campers of Camp B’nai Brith. Have a healthy and safe summer!

We would be happy to consider it. Nothing is too big or too small!
